26th August 2025 - Kier Property submits a Request for EIA Screening Opinion
Kier Property has submitted an Environmental Impact Assessment Screening Opinion Request report to Central Bedfordshire Council.
This is for a planning authority to determine whether there is a requirement for an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) to accompany a planning application for development.
If a planning authority deems that a proposed development is “EIA development”, then the developer will need to provide an Environmental Statement along with the eventual planning application. This is not always the case that every potential development site will require an Environmental Impact Assessment.
The final planning application will be accompanied by a full suite of technical documents including a Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (including a landscape strategy), Transport Statement, Ecological Assessment, Flood Risk Assessment and Planning Statement.
